On December 22, the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia organized a reception in Moscow to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of South Ossetia, which included the ninth ceremony for the presentation of the Bulamarg International Literary Prize.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev delivered a welcoming message on behalf of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev.
Tamerlan Dzasokhov, Acting Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania to the President of the Russian Federation, read out the welcome address on behalf of the Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Sergey Menyailo.
Mikhail Kalugin, Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Countries, Ruslan Gagkuev, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Historical Society, Alan Abaev, Chairman of the Council of the Moscow Ossetian Community National Cultural Organization and Sergey Ladochkin, member of the Moscow Civic Chamber and President of the BRICS International Social and Business Center, also delivered welcoming speeches.
For the development and promotion of the Ossetian language among children and youth, as well as for a series of works written in the genre of Ossetian national prose, the Diploma of the 1st degree of the International Literary Prize Bulamarg was awarded to Eteri Kalmanova (Olginskoye village, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania).
For collections of author's works written in the genre of Ossetian national poetry, as well as the development and popularization of the Ossetian language, the Diploma of the 2nd degree of the International Literary Prize Bulamarg was awarded to Alexander Elbakiev (Dzau, the Republic of South Ossetia).
For a series of works written in the genres of Ossetian prose, poetry and journalism, the 11th grade student Aslan Valiev (village of Auneu, the Republic of South Ossetia) was awarded the Diploma of the third degree of the International Literary Prize Bulamarg.
For long-term popularization and promotion of the Russian language in the Republic of South Ossetia and commitment to the ideals of the Russian world, the creative team of the magazine Russian Word in South Ossetia was awarded a Special Diploma of the International Literary Prize Bulamarg, established for authors writing in Russian.
The event was attended by the Minister of Health of the Republic of South Ossetia Soslan Naniev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Alimov, Director of the Second Department of Asia Alexey Pavlovsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua Alba Azucena Torres Mejia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia Alkhas Kvitsinia, Charge d'affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic Abdulrazzak Ismail, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola Gaspar Custodio Domingos da Silva, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov and Israil Abdulragimov, Special Representative of the Governor of St. Petersburg, as well as representatives of the Committee of the Union State of Russia and Belarus and the delegation of the Writers’ Union of the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of the author’s works of the outstanding Soviet and South Ossetian artist, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR Georgy Doguzov was presented.
