On February 17, in Tskhinval, a meeting was held between the South Ossetian delegation at the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia with the Co-Chairs of the Discussions, representing the EU, the OSCE and the UN.
Key agenda points of the forthcoming 66th round of GID, scheduled for March 18-19, were discussed during the meeting.

The Alan Society of Ossetians in Turkey held its second series of courses on preparing traditional Ossetian dishes. The training was conducted by Ossetian women living in Turkey and the courses were open to anyone interested. In the first set of courses participants learned how to bake traditional Ossetian cheese pies, and in the second set, they learned how to cook traditional Ossetian dumplings called khabinty.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev attended the traditional New Year's performance of the musical fairy tale ‘You've Landed in Our Fairy Tale’, which was prepared by the pupils of the Tskhinval boarding school for their benefactors.
Ella Slanova, director of the boarding school, in her welcoming speech thanked everyone for their support and wished them happiness, kindness and good luck in the coming year.

On January 21, 2026, a press conference of the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev was held in the press center of Sputnik South Ossetia. The press conference was dedicated to the relevant agenda point of new regulations of crossing the border between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation for citizens of Russia under the age of 14.
On January 19, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Narim Kozaev visited the Embassy of Venezuela in Moscow.
N. Kozaev made a record in the book of condolences which was opened for victims of the events of January 3 in Caracas.
An agreement was signed in Moscow between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation on facilitating the implementation of the state program for social and economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia for 2026-2030.
