The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia addressed a congratulatory message to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Nauru, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic.
The message states, in particular:
“The attainment of sovereignty on January 31, 1968 became the fateful event which laid the foundation for free development and self-determination of the people of Nauru. That day has rightfully become the symbol of the desire for independence and national unity.
While noting the significant achievements of the Republic of Nauru in social and economic development and strengthening of statehood, the Ministry expresses its confidence in further positive development of friendly relations between our countries in various areas based on common values, mutual respect and trust".
