The courses on preparing traditional Ossetian dishes organized by the Alan Society of Ossetians in Turkey

The Alan Society of Ossetians in Turkey held its second series of courses on preparing traditional Ossetian dishes. The training was conducted by Ossetian women living in Turkey and the courses were open to anyone interested. In the first set of courses participants learned how to bake traditional Ossetian cheese pies, and in the second set, they learned how to cook traditional Ossetian dumplings called khabinty.

“Holding festive evenings and cultural events is undoubtedly very important. We at the Alan Society of Ossetians in Turkey believe that sharing such knowledge and skills is also very important for culture and for preserving traditions”, said Sadrettin Kusati, Chairman of the Alan Society of Ossetians in Turkey.

Next month the third series of courses on cooking traditional Ossetian dishes is planned. At the end of the courses participants will be awarded certificates.
