On February 3, in Moscow, a meeting was held between the State Councilor of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Head of the South Ossetian delegation at the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia Konstantin Kochiev, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits.
The meeting was held in preparation for the upcoming round of the Discussions. Scheduled for March, 2026. The parties confirmed their commitment to close cooperation on key issues on the agenda, emphasized the importance of developing legally binding guarantees of Georgia’s non-use of force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as the beginning of the process of delimitation and subsequent demarcation of the South Ossetian-Georgian and the Abkhaz-Georgian state borders.
The consultations were attended by members of the delegations of the parties.
