June 25-26, 2024 saw the 61st round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, established in accordance with Medvedev – Sarkozy agreements, dated August 12, 2008 and September 8, 2008. Delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA as well as representatives of the EU, the UN, and the OSCE participated in the meeting.
On June 20-22, commemorative events, dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People are taking place in the Republic of Belarus.
On June 20, on the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Ossetian Genocide, commemorative events were held in South Ossetia.
Flower-laying ceremony was held at the Memorial Monument to 13 Communards shot by the Georgian Mensheviks on the Zguder Hill on June 20, 1920.
On June 21-22 a South Ossetian delegation participates in the events, timed to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, which are organized in Brest.
On June 9, 2024, elections of deputies of the Parliament of the 8th convocation were held in the Republic of South Ossetia. The voting took place at 73 polling stations, including 2 stations opened on territory of the Russian Federation.
On June 9, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev hosted a meeting with international observer from the Republic of Belarus A. V. Dzermant.
On June 9, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev hosted a meeting with an Austrian representative Patrick Poppel, who arrived in Tskhinval as an international observer of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of South Ossetia.
On June 8, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev hosted a meeting with representatives of the Republic of Turkey Burhan Hosity and Sadrettin Kusaty, who arrived in Tskhinval as international observers for the election of deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia of the 8th convocation.
On May 29, Akhsar Dzhioev, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister, participated in the ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths to the bust of Torez Kulumbergov, first leader of the Republic, dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the Act of Declaration of Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.
South Ossetian leadership, headed by President Alan Gagloev, representatives of ministries and committees, members of the Parliament of the 1st convocation and the public participated in the event.

32 years separate us from that fateful May Day, when the Supreme Council of the Republic of South Ossetia adopted the historic document – the Act of Declaration of Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev sent a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev on the occasion of the Day of the South Ossetian diplomatic worker.
