On December 7-8, 2021, the regular round of International Discussions on Security in the Transcaucasus, held on the bases of the agreements adopted on August 12 and September 8, 2008, took place at the Geneva Palace of Nations. The negotiations were attended by delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States, as well as representatives of the EU, UN and OSCE.

The work took place in two groups: on security and on humanitarian issues.

The first working group discussed regional security issues. 

President Anatolii Bibilov met with Foreign minister Dmitrii Medoev.

During the meeting, Dmitrii Medoev told the head of state about the results of his working visit to Italy and Turkey.

On December 3, Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, met in Istanbul with Sadrettin Kusaty, the Chairman of the Ossetian Society «Alan» in Turkey and activists of the organization.

On December 1, during a working visit to the Republic of Turkey, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev met with the family and friends of the Official Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in Turkey Remzi Kanukati.

On December 1, the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia ratified the Agreement between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation on the settlement of issues of dual citizenship, introduced by the President of the Republic of South Ossetia A. I. Bibilov.

On November 30, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitrii Medoev arrived in Istanbul at the invitation of the Leadrship of the Ossetian community of Turkey.

During the visit, a number of meetings are planned, including with the leadership and activists of the Ossetian community in Turkey.

Rome, November 25 – RIA Novosti, Alexander Logunov. On Wednesday, South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitrii Medoev met with deputies of the Italian national parliament Pino Cabras and Vito Comencini, where a RIA Novosti correspondent was present.

On November 25, at the end of his working visit to Italy, the Munister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev visited the grave of the prominent Italian journalist, political and public figure, former member of the European Parliament, Giulietto Chiesa.

On November 24, within the framework of a visit to the Italian Republic at the invitation of a group of deputies of the Italian parliament, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev visited the Montecitorio Palace (Palazzo Montecitorio) in Rome, where the Chamber of deputies of Italy sits.

On November 23, during a working visit to the Italian Republic in the city of Pesaro, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev met with the Secretary of the National Association of Italian Anti-Fascist Partisans (ANPI) Milena Rossi and the head of the Council of Veterans of the organization Luciano Tribbi.

On November 19, a working meeting of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva International Discussions with the Co-Chairs of the Geneva Discussions from the EU, OSCE and UN took place in Tskhinval.

On October 25, the International Conference “South Ossetia at the Crossroads of Civilizations. Problems of Security and Sustainable Development”, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia jointly with the Russian National Committee for Black Sea Economic Cooperation (RNC BSEC), finished its work.
