On October 22, the International Conference “South Ossetia at the Crossroads of Civilizations. Problems of Security and Sustainable Development”, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in conjunction with the Russian National Committee for Black Sea Economic Cooperation (RNC BSEC), began its work in Tskhinval.

On September 23, a working meeting of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva International Discussions with the Co-Chairs of the Geneva Discussions from the EU, OSCE and UN took place in Tskhinval.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the agenda for the upcoming 54th round of the Geneva Discussions, scheduled for October 12 – 13 this year.
These days the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitrii Medoev is on a working visit to Italy.
On September 1, in the city of Pesaro, activists of the Italian-Ossetian Friendship Society under the auspices of the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in Italy visited the memorial dedicated to the heroes of the Italian anti-fascist movement and paid tribute to all those who died in the terrorist attack in Beslan in 2004.
On August 19-21, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev paid a working visit to Abkhazia.
The visit took place within the framework of the Consultation Plan signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Demeev received a group of South Ossetian cadets from the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School named after General of the Army V.F. Margelov, who takes part in the international military-technical forum “Army-2021”.
On August 26, South Ossetia marks the thirteenth anniversary of the recognition of the state independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation.
