On August 5, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev hosted a meeting with the Head of the ICRC Mission in the Republic of South Ossetia Said Assadullah and the Head of Protection Department of the ICRC Mission in the Republic of South Ossetia Marco Dosljak.
A number of practical issues related to implementation of humanitarian projects of the Mission in South Ossetia as well as relevant aspects of cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
On July 30, bilateral consultations, provided for by the Consultation Plan for 2024-2025 signed between Foreign Ministries of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, were held in Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

June 25-26, 2025 saw the 64th round of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, established in accordance with Medvedev – Sarkozy agreements, dated August 12, 2008 and September 8, 2008. Delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA, co-chaired by representatives of the EU, the UN, and the OSCE participated in the meeting.
On June 22, Belarus commemorates the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People. On this day, the people of Belarus honor those who sacrificed their lives in defense of their homeland, recalls all those who died at the hands of the fascists and those who died in the rear from hunger and deprivation.
In recent days, the dynamics of the situation in the Middle East has been characterized by an unprecedented escalation caused by Israel’s attack on Iran’s military facilities and civilian infrastructure, including nuclear energy infrastructure facilities, which threatens serious consequences for regional and global security.
Today, on June 20, commemorative events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Ossetian Genocide, organized by the Georgian leadership in the summer of 1920, are being held in South Ossetia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia extended a note with words of sympathy and support to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in connection with the 33rd anniversary of the Bendery tragedy.
