On September 19, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua Valdrack Ludwing Jaentschke Whitaker, who arrived in Tskhinval as the head of a delegation to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Andrey Tskhovrebov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua Narim Kozaev and Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Nicaragua in the Russian Federation Claudio Arana.
Akhsar Dzhioev greeted the guests, noting that South Ossetia welcomes representatives from the friendly country of Nicaragua on this significant holiday for the country and will always be grateful for their support during this difficult time for the Republic.
Valdrack Jaentschke, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome and congratulated the South Ossetian people on the holiday, wishing South Ossetia further development and prosperity.
It was noted that the strengthening of friendly South Ossetian-Nicaraguan relations will continue.
