On October 28-31, representatives of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia took part in the III International Forum of Young Diplomats “Mercury-2025”, which was held in Mariupol on the basis of the Mariupol State University named after A. I. Kuindzhi.
The central theme of this year’s Forum was “Victory Diplomacy”. This significant event brought together students, postgraduates, young specialists in the field of international relations, as well as representatives of government agencies and public organizations from 20 regions of Russia and 20 states.
The event was organized by the Representative Office of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Donetsk together with the Legatus Youth Diplomacy Center with the support of the authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The participants of the Forum discussed a broad range of relevant issues of foreign policy as well as the role of public and people’s diplomacy in strengthening peace and stability. The historical legacy of the Victory was considered not only as a memory of the past, but also as a moral foundation and strategic guideline for modern diplomacy.
