On 14 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev took part in a solemn meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Vladislav Ardzinba, an outstanding statesman and political figure, the first President of Abkhazia. On April 8, 2001, following the results of the all-national referendum, a new Constitution was adopted in the Republic of South Ossetia. The people of South Ossetia have made their choice in favor of an independent democratic future of the state and have determined the strategic vector of the state’s development for many years.
